The Animal Science class from Common Ground High School is attending a two part seminar on animal assisted therapy this Spring. The first session on March 2 will focus on therapy dogs, emotional support dogs, and service dogs. The students will learn about the role each working dog plays to better people's lives. They will also have hands on experience working with AaTs therapy dogs. The second session takes place at Miles Hill Farm on April 6. Students will learn about breeds, training, and care for our horses. In addition, they will gain an understanding how equine therapy works and its numerous applications.
